Children's Code Assessment
This working assessment records SchoolQuest design choices against age-appropriate design expectations. Children’s best interests should be a primary consideration in product decisions.
Current design decisions
Data minimisation; high-privacy defaults; no behavioural advertising to children; no child educational-data ad targeting; no open messaging; no card trading; restrained sponsor attribution only if later approved; child-friendly language; minimal identity fields.
Before launch
Complete the formal assessment against each applicable Children’s Code standard, document age assurance/age-range approach, transparency language, profiling decisions, geolocation status, nudge techniques, connected toys/devices applicability and data-sharing/subprocessor controls.
